About us...

Kia Ora!

Welcome to The Pacific Post! We are the on-campus team of students who brought the project to life.

Founded by Lilou Hardonnière over 2023's summer, The Pacific Post came to see the light of day in February 2024. As the only New Zealander on campus in 2023, she noticed a lack of representation and culture from the Pacific islands... especially on Science Po's "Asia-Pacific" campus. Since, she worked on conceptualizing this project, designing it's every dimension so as to bring the Pacific islands to the forefront of campus life.

Having run as a student initiative in October 2023, the team successfully won the vote and received funding from Sciences Po Paris, in support of our project. The team worked hard on the first edition throughout the fall semester, finally to have it printed in 200 copies in early February. All students received their own copies on campus, as well as the supportive members of the administration, and the newspaper was received with great enthusiasm.

In the process of creation of the paper in 2023, we joined forces with the Association France New Zealand. Based in Paris since 1981, the Association was hooked on our initiative, drawing closer France and the Oceanian continent together. As they considered it in the continuity of their own project, they decided to support our project on the longer-term. Please go check them out and show support. If ever you're in Paris, make sure you drop by one of their educational and entertaining events! Be sure to subscribe to their membership to have priority access to events and courses.
